Sichiv Sek
Cambodia Service trip 2026
Sichiv Sek’s journey began in a small village in Pursat, where she was one of the first students supported by Sustainable Cambodia’s scholarship program. Raised in a farming family as the eldest sibling, life was not easy, but Sichiv’s determination, hope, and gratitude fueled her path forward. She completed grade 12, earned a university degree in Finance and Banking, and returned to give back to the community that once lifted her up.
Since 2016, Sichiv has grown through every role at Sustainable Cambodia—librarian, teacher, vice principal—and now serves as In-Country Coordinator and Deputy Director of Operations. She leads student sponsorship programs, alumni support, and daily operations, bringing a rare combination of lived experience, empathy, and organizational skill to every initiative. Her deep understanding of the challenges students face allows her to guide them with warmth, clarity, and encouragement.
Sichiv’s story is part of a larger one: Sustainable Cambodia’s work has always been about collaboration and community. More than half of the staff are former students who now give back with real care and passion, making the organization’s impact both personal and enduring. Together, they empower rural families through education, clean water, agriculture, and income generation, using a “pass-it-on” model that fosters lasting change from within.
Today, as a young mother, Sichiv brings heart, hope, and dedication to every project, showing that when one invests in a student—or a team—one plants the seeds for a brighter future for generations to come.
